GW: Death By An Arrow

A portrait commission for Death by an Arrow, as a thanks for winning the contest over at the Guild Wars Guru deviantART group. Took a wee bit longer to draw than I intended, but I had fun with doing the light effects and the textures on the armor.

Enjoy!

Guild Wars: Ran

I figured I should post this up too, since it's my recent finished work.

Photobucket
Black and white version & lineart (sketch) version

This is Ravenhawk's Guild Wars character Ran. In return, she drew my assassin Tomie. I had a lot of fun drawing Ran, since I don't get the chance to draw male characters very often for commissions/art-trades. :D For some reason, most Guild Wars characters being drawn are female, even though the game itself seems to have an equal characterbase of both males and females.

First post

Oh yay!

I decided to switch over to Blogger from the Wordpress sketchblog I have on my personal site. Firstly, because Blogger provides an easier way of stalking other people, and second... well, because everyone else seems to be here too. It's like THE sketchblog provider for artists, and I've never been one to stand in the way of progress.

Anyhow, here's my first art post for this new blog:

It's a Sylvari Guardian concept for the weekly art challenge over at GW2Guru. I know that sylvari are more childlike and reedy, but I wanted to draw a buff male sylvari warrior complete with a beard and root-hair as a counter to all the beautiful females other artists were drawing.
I did this as a speedpaint, since neither sylvari nor guardian really appeal to me. Norn and rangers are more my thing. :P
